Fishing Report June 11th 2026
Fishing has really picked up over the last week! Most of the rivers and creeks are continuing to drop pretty quickly, so it should just get better as each day goes by.
Salmon River
The Salmon River is currently flowing at 2900 CFS and drops a bit each day. It's running clear and the fish are looking up! We've finally started to see a few Golden Stoneflies hatching and we should start to see them coming off in good numbers here any day. PMD's and Caddis are also coming off with a little more consistency. PMD's have been hatching in pretty strong numbers after it warms up a bit, so hanging a nymph, like a soft hackle, off your dry fly in the mornings can be super productive. Chubby Chernobyl's, Elk Hair Caddis, and any light colored Parachute fly have all been working well.
Lemhi River
The Lemhi is running at 170 CFS in Lemhi and 75 CFS in town. The higher you go up, the better the fishing will be with Stonefly nymphs still being the most effective patterns. Flies like Pat's Rubber Legs, Knotty Hookers and Prince Nymphs have all been working on The Lemhi. As always access can be tough on The Lemhi, so you have to get a little creative to stay legal while fishing it, but it will get easier as it gets lower.
Panther Creek
Panther Creek is currently flowing around 90 CFS at Cobalt. The Cutthroat haven't migrated up there in big numbers yet, but you can find a few on the lower section close to the confluence. The fishing has been excellent for Resident Rainbow Trout in the higher sections. Caddis and PMD's are hatching in the evenings and right now is the perfect time to go up there with a 3 wt and a pocket full of little dry flies!
Williams Lake
Williams Lake is still fishing well with Leeches and Chironomids being the most productive ways to catch fish. The mornings are always better at Williams before the wind starts blowing. Oddly enough, Williams gets a fairly good Golden Stonefly hatch around it and the dry fly action can be good once they start coming off.
Fishing should only get better over the next few weeks and if you haven't been out yet, you should! The bookings are filling up fast, so give us a call to get your date set!
Go Fish!
