      Fishing Report June 26th 2026

The fishing the last week has been excellent and looks to continue!

      Salmon River

The Salmon River is flowing at around 1900 CFS and water temps have been in the low 60's for most of the day. The dry fly action is in full effect and I expect that to last for quite some time. Foam and rubber legs have been the ticket for The Salmon River. Chubby Chernobyl's, Tantrum's, Juicy Stone's and Dry Humper's have all been super effective patterns. You can absolutely tie on a dropper below the dry fly but most of the fish are looking for those Golden Stoneflies on the surface.

      Lemhi River

The Lemhi is currently flowing at 130 CFS at Lemhi and 40 CFS in town. Fishing has been very good up higher on The Lemhi River. As always, nymphing is the name of the game as it relates to fishing the Lemhi. There has been some dry fly action in the evenings, with Caddis being the desired meal. Stonefly nymphs have still been the most productive pattern.

      Panther Creek

Panther Creek is flowing at 55 CFS at Cobalt and the water is plenty cool. We've had some really great reports from Panther Creek recently and The Cutthroat are slowly starting to migrate into the creek. Chubby Chernobyl's, Adam's, Purple Haze and Elk Hair Caddis have been working very well up there.

Fishing should continue to be great throughout the next few weeks. It looks like lots of rain is in the forecast for the weekend and that should keep everything cool and we may even get a little bump in flows. Guided trips have been absolutely incredible thus far and there's a few days open the first week of July. Give us a call and we can get you a date!
